  1. Rapture-I Thessalonians 4:13-18                                                                       Future event when the Lord takes the church from the world.
  2. Millennium-Matthew 24:29-30; Revelations 20:4-7                                Happens after the Tribulation. Reign with Christ a thousand years.
  3. Armageddon-Revelations 16:16, 19:17-21                                                   The last battle of the Tribulation. Satan's last opportunity to try to destroy the people of God.  Satan will be defeated by the Sword (the Word) of God.
  4. Judgement Seat of Christ-Romans 14:11-12; I Corinthians3:12;                                                                                     II Corinthians 5:10                                                                                                                                                                         Where, after the first resurrection, it is determined how the saved shall experience eternity. Works will determine rewards or loss.
  5. Great White Throne Judgement-Revelations 20:11,15, 21:8; Malachi 4:1-2                                                       After the 1000 year Millennium. Where the unsaved (those whose name is not in the Book of Life) stand before God and are judged by their works then cast into the lake of fire, experiencing the Second Death.
  6. Paradise-Luke 23:43; II Corinthians 12:4; Revelations 2:7                                                                                                 Where God is (the Third Heaven).
  7. Salvation- Romans 10:8-9; Acts 2:37-40                                                                                                                                     Being saved from the wrath of God. Being saved means we stand on God's Word. The evidence of Salvation is the gift of the Holy Spirit.
  8. Are there people in Heaven now? Explain. Luke 23:39-43; Matthew 22:51                                                 Yes. The thief on the cross asked Jesus to remember him in Paradise. Jesus said that the man would be with Him in Paradise. This was a statement made specifically to him, at that time.  Enoch, Elijah, and Moses are also in Paradise; they left no bodies to be buried as they were caught up to be in Heaven.  Refer to Moses, who was on the Mount of Transfiguration, appearing unto Christ. Also, when the veil in the temple was torn, many bodies arose from the grave, which were resurrected. Thereafter, the just (those dead in Christ) will be resurrected upon His return.
  9. The thief upon the cross; what does his conversion represent? Luke 23:39-43                               It represents the last of the Old Testament. It shows that the Messiah had come.
  10. Steven's death after Christ's Resurrection; what does his conversion represent?-        Acts 7:54                                                                                                                                                                                               It represents the first convert under the New Covenant.
  11. Name at least two books mentioned in Revelations- Revelations 20:11-15                                           The Book of Life and the Book of Works. The Book of Life has the names of those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. The Book of Works determines how those who do not accept Jesus as their savior spend eternity; one's whole life is under judgement.
  12. Lake of Fire- Revelations 21:4,8, 20:15, 22:12, 2:4-6, 11-15; John 5:28-29, 11 chapter; Job 21:30-32; II Peter 2:9;         Matthew 15:27; 5:30; 10:28; Ezekiel 18:5-2; Malachi 4:1-3                                                                                                            The punishment for not accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as one's personal savior. The Books of Works determine how long one suffers in the Lake of Fire. Eternal death.  Hell aka "Sheol" meaning: the grave. Gehenna meaning: "a place of burning".  The story of Lazarus and the rich man is a parable.  A parable teaches the Word of God. People do not go to hell and have the ability to communicate with those on earth or in heaven.  Those who do good go to resurrection of life, those who do evil go to the second resurrection which is unto death.  The unjust will not be punished until the Day of Judgement (Second Resurrection).  Sinners cast into the Lake of Fire and die the Second Death; they will not be immortal or live forever in torment.  As God prevented mankind from eating of the Fruit of Life, they will not live forever--they will be obliterated.  How long will the sinner suffer in the Lake of Fire?  Some will receive greater punishment based on their works (as determined by the Book of Works during the Second Resurrection).  Will the Fire ever be kindled?  See Malachi 4:1-3.  People will be cast into the Lake of Fire in body and soul.
  13. The Second Death-Revelations 20:6; Malachi 4:1, Romans 6:23                                                                                      When persons are cast into the Lake of Fire. Those cast into the Lake of Fire will never live again.
  14. List the three types of death Genesis- 2:15-17,                                                                                             Spiritual death-destroys fellowship with God, Physical death, Second death-the Lake of Fire
  15. List the two destinies                                                                                                 Eternal life and eternal death
  16. How many resurrections are there?-John 5:28-29                                                                 2.  Resurrection of Life (for the just) and Resurrection of Damnation (for the unjust).
  17. What does Malachi say about God's judgement?- Malachi 4:1-4                                                                It explains the fate of the just and the wicked upon the Second Coming of Christ.
  18. Explain the parable of the rich man and Lazarus- Luke 16:18-31; Matthew 13:10,34; I Corinthians 2:14   The story of Lazarus and the rich man is a parable, which teaches about the Word of God. People do not go to hell and have the ability to communicate with those on earth or in heaven.  This parable is a spiritual lesson encouraging us to get our priorities straight now, while we are living, because once we die there is no changing our fate or spiritual destination.  If a person doesn't accept the gospel that it already written, even sending a person who has passed away wouldn't be enough for that person to accept the truth of God's Word because God's Word is powerful enough to save.
  19. What is the science behind sin?-Romans 6:3,15, 5:12                                                                                            The wages of sin is death (spiritual, physical, and eternal).  Sin entered the world through Adam and mankind has been born with a sin nature ever since.  Sin alienates us from God.  There is no such thing as a little or big sin, each sin has a devastating effect.
  20. What is confession?-I John 1:9                                                                                                                                          When someone realizes they have done wrong, own up to it, and confess of their sin without justifying what they have done.  (We must be specific)  They ask God for forgiveness.
  21. What is the proof of real repentance?- Romans 10:9                                                                                    When a person has Godly sorrow and turns from their sin (change of mind and action).
  22. Temptation- Matthew 4:1-11,                                                                                                                                                     It comes from Satan and his demons.  You defeat temptation with the Word of God.
  23. What is sin?-                                                                                                                  Sin is an act or behavior that does not conform with God's Word.
  24. Do believers still have a sin nature?-Romans 7:18; Luke 12:47-48                                                                 Yes.  The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.  God quickens our previously dead spirit (makes it alive) but we all have a sin nature that wrestles with our spiritual self.  Whether the spirit or flesh wins out, depends on the person and who/what they yield their members to.  It is possible that we sin so much that we mute the voice of the Holy Spirit, but we cannot stop chastisement.
  25. What is the goal of confession?                                                                                       To turn away from committing sin. There are still consequences of sin, but the longer you stay in that sin the more severe the consequences.
  26. What is lust?- Mark 7:14-23                                                                                                  Ungodly desires that we have inside of us.  We must learn to control it and not yield to it.
  27. Apostasy-I Timothy 4:1-5; Hebrews 6:3-9; Luke 7:21-23; the Book of Jude; Colossians 2:4-23                                       When a person knows the truth then turns against the truth. The Book of Jude focuses on apostasy.  Jude reminds his readers of God's judgement.
  28. Hypocrite- Luke 6:41-45                                                                                                        A person worried about the sins of others but overlook their own.
  29. How are believers lured into sin?- James 1:14-16                                                                                                We are enticed by our own lusts. When a person yields to lust it brings forth sin.  Sin brings forth death (spiritual and eventually physical)
  30. What is the power of temptation?-                                                                              Temptation can come from the flesh, the world, and Satan himself.
  31. What is the science behind temptation?- Satan tempts us to repeat sins that we have repented of.  There is no sin in being tempted, but the sin occurs when we act upon temptation.

*parables do not teach doctrine but teach truths of the Word of God
